The Firm currently takes on 2 or 3 trainee solicitors to join in September each year. We therefore have 5 trainees in total at any one time. Trainees are selected from a large number of applicants, so that very high standards are set in the selection of trainees. We only recruit graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 degree unless there are exceptional circumstances. The Firm recruits both law and non-law graduates and also recruits mature students. Although good academic qualifications are essential we are also looking for applicants with personality and enthusiasm.
The Firm is of a size and character that there is ample opportunity for individual trainee solicitors with the right personality and qualifications to make their mark.
It is the Firm's policy to pay a competitive rate of remuneration, at least comparable to similar firms in London.
The fees for the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course are paid. These are not repayable provided the training is completed with the Firm.
The Firm is a sociable environment in which to work. It organises various cricket, tennis, hockey, sailing and other sports and social activities.
The Firm adheres to the Law Society's Voluntary Code to Good Practice in the Recruitment of Trainee Solicitors.
