After graduating from Cambridge University, Chris qualified as a solicitor in 1974 and became Head of Private Client at a City firm prior to joining Payne Hicks Beach as a partner in 2003.
In the course of his career, Chris has advised individuals, families, trustees, businesses and institutions, both in the UK and overseas, on a wide range of tax issues. In recent years, the main emphasis of his work has involved advising on strategic fiscal and succession planning for entrepreneurs and their families, with a heavy international / offshore emphasis. This has frequently involved establishing or restructuring of trusts. Many of his clients are non-UK domiciliaries.
Chris has a substantial network of clients and professional contacts in various parts of the world, including the Far East, North America and the leading offshore jurisdictions.
