Alice obtained an MA from Oxford University. She qualified in 1989, joined Payne Hicks Beach in 1991 and became a partner in 1993.

Alice was appointed head of the Private Client Department in 2005. She specialises in tax planning, particularly for non-domiciliaries, those moving to or from the UK and those requiring advice on transnational matters. She deals with all forms of capital gains tax planning, including tax advice to entrepreneurs and shareholders of private or family owned companies. Her work includes the establishment and management of all types of onshore and offshore trusts. She also advises on wills and deals with estate planning, particularly for entrepreneurs and foreign nationals. Her work also includes legal and fiscal advice to charities. Alice is half Danish and has a sizeable pan-Scandinavian client base.
