Peter has extensive experience of general commercial litigation with an emphasis on professional negligence. In addition to representing clients in a wide range of commercial disputes, he has also been involved in a number of high profile Public and Judicial Inquiries. He represented the Surrey Police in the "Guildford Four" Inquiry and was involved in the Inquiries that followed the collapse of Barings Bank.
He was the lead solicitor representing almost 500 individual soldiers and former soldiers involved as witnesses to the "Bloody Sunday" Inquiry. More recently he has represented a serving Chief Constable and a large number of police officers before the Rosemary Nelson Inquiry in Northern Ireland. He has also been involved in Inquiries that have not been made public and he has represented individuals before most of the professional disciplinary Tribunals and some of the sporting disciplinary bodies.
He is actively involved in the teaching of advocacy and ethics and served a three year term as the solicitor member of the Advocacy Training Council.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an accredited Mediator (CEDR) and a Honorary Bencher of Gray's Inn.
